Research Project: Generative Boltzmann Optimization via Conditional Diffusion Models for Black-Box Optimization

Designed and implemented a diffusion-based generative optimization framework for black-box optimization in high-dimensional search spaces. Applied the framework to standard benchmark problems and examined how different model configurations influenced its optimization performance.

Research Project: Improving Cross-Site Whole-Heart Segmentation

Developed a modality-routed 3D segmentation pipeline to improve cross-site robustness across cardiac CT and MRI data. Site-informed appearance augmentation improved performance on held-out data from both modalities.

Research Project: A Machine Learning Approach to Predicting NBA Draft Outcomes

Applied machine learning to NCAA player data to predict NBA draft outcomes, developing classification and regression models to estimate draft status and likely selection position. Examined model results to identify the aspects of college performance most influential in draft decisions.

Research Project: Fabrication of Encapsulated 2D Material Heterostructures

Conducted research on encapsulated 2D material heterostructures by preparing silicon substrates and exfoliating thin material flakes. Used layer-transfer techniques to assemble the flakes into multilayer stacks, creating samples for further characterization and study.
